Modchip for the Xbox 360: Team Underdog “Lets the Dogs Out” With the NME-360

According to “Team Underdog,” they have successfully created the first Modchip to play your backup games on the Xbox360.

The site reads:

The NME-360 enables your XBox360 to play backups of your highly valuable original games. NME-360 is a universal solution for ALL currently available XBox360 Consoles on the market. Forget crazy dual mods with 30+ wires or even bricking your DVD drive by flashing corrupt/wrong firmware files. Your original firmware stays untouched and intact at any time when using the NME-360. There is no need for any firmware-reading or flashing.

Simply install the NME-360 with 4 wires for Samsung or 5 wires for Hitachi/LG and you are done…

NME-360 – the clever solution:

The NME-360 autodetects the inserted media. If the inserted media is a backup NME-360 injects the necessary information to the DVD drive enabling it to boot smoothly ahead! If the media is an original game, or anything else, which doesn’t require any further action of the NME-360 then it simply falls asleep so there is no need for an external switch whatsoever. This way it can not be detected online when you play an original onlinegame.

The Real Deal at Last?

Being that this is the first I’ve heard of a successful Modchip for the Xbox360 being created and sold, I’m fairly skeptical until I hear more about it. But, as you can see below, it is sold on a large number of long-time Mod sites throughout the world. So unless it’s part of some global Russian mob conspiracy, it’s probably safe to say that the “chip is legit.”

Also, the NME-360 Modchip appears to retail at $40 bucks, not a bad add-on for a $400 dollar piece of gaming hardware.

I’ve took the time to list the links to the stores around the world where you can purchase this new Modchip. If any of you do purchase the chip I’d like to hear from you as to how convenient it is to install and also of course the real question, does it indeed work as advertised? If it does, I may soon be saying “adios muchacho” to my regular “old” Xbox.

hmmm.... 360 is becoming more of somthing i might buy....

Well it had to come out sooner or later. I wonder what country they are selling from? Hopefully they are not totally stupid and selling it out of the US! Mabye they thought enough ahead of Microsoft and their gestapo tactics to manufacture it OUTSIDE the US. If they didn't they better get ready for a lawsuit! Because it will be comming if they didn't think far enough ahead.
