NBC has partnered with online DVD rental service Netflix on a promotional campaign for its fall lineup that will make the inaugural episodes of two new NBC programs, entertainment-industry drama “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and serial thriller “Kidnapped,” available through Netflix six weeks before their broadcast premieres.
As with any selection offered by Netflix, subscribers can add the DVD of the two shows to their “queues” and wait for it to ship when it becomes available.
The promotion, which will be touted in NBC network spots and Netflix advertisements, will run from Aug. 5 through Sept. 17.

In the past when i bought dvd’s.. LONG TIme ago. It pissed me off to watch trailers or other crap before even getting to the menu. But now days away ripping software is. I can rip out fbi warnings blank vob files Spanish and other audio streams. Keep the 5.1 or DTS and resize the movie a little.
VHS tapes were the worst especially towards the end when they had COMMERCIALS on them…..what a drag that was…………….
I remember some VHS tapes started to advertise DVD’s.. And how great they were i havent seen any HDTV or BLUE ray commercials on any dvd disc. So i dont know if it is because the people who uploaded them ripped them out or what.
