Carbon Project Demonstrates World’s First P2P Framework for Location Content at Microsoft Conference

This week at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Boston, The Carbon Project demonstrated the world’s first peer-to-peer (P2P) framework for sharing and finding location-based information and connecting directly with friends and neighbors.

The ((Echo))MyPlace™ demonstration highlighted how conference attendees can use a local P2P digital community to share location-based content across the exhibition floor of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. With this P2P network attendees easily created customized location-based notes about their local neighborhood and then shared their messages or experiences using CarbonCloud™.

((Echo))MyPlace and CarbonCloud are powered by CarbonTools PRO, a software development toolkit that enhances the Microsoft .NET framework to support advanced location content handling and sharing.
