Who REALLY is going to take a party named “Pirate Party” seriously?
The negative connotation is enough to turn ME away lol…and THAT is bad. They should have named it the Anti-facism party or something that stands for something other than stealing.
A pirate is someone who steals. P2P DOESN’T stand for stealing!
I really don’t get it and I think this is an obvious and serious flaw to their stategy.
I take the word “party” pretty seriously………
though ne007 is right i think its ok. pirates are getting to be respected in many circles and there is the (new) age-old question: are you a pirate or a ninja. pirates are just becomming cool. it wont be long before the kids that idolize silly jokes like these will be of voting age.
in my mind a pirate party involves a bunch of laptops and a few gigabit switches
