The race for the Canadian dashboard is just getting underway, pitting XM against Sirius once again. XM Canada recently inked an in-dash partnership with Lexus and Toyota, and now Sirius has announced a brand-new, exclusive deal with Ford Motor Company. Under the terms of the long-term agreement, virtually every Ford vehicle sold in Canada will carry factory-installed Sirius receivers by 2008. Importantly, the deal covers not just Ford-branded cars, but also makes like Mercury to Aston Martin. And, similar to the XM deal, the installed receivers will come bundled with a premium subscription to the Sirius 110-channel line-up.
The news comes on the heels of a similar partnership with BMW, announced in June. That agreement will see Sirius radios available as a factory- or dealer-installed option in select cars by fall 2006, and every BMW vehicle by 2007. In February, Sirius also unveiled partnerships with Subaru and DaimlerChrysler. And the Ford deal comes just two months after the satellite radio service registered its 100,000th Canadian subscriber – a number that puts Sirius ahead of rival XM, which announced a total of 80,000 subscribers in June.

I will care when xm/sirius gives radios away like cellphone providers. 3 year contract at the same price etc not variable pricing to fuck unsuspecting ppl over more then others and when they make there playlists more deep. There electronic servings are horrible both sirius and xm.
