Kazaa BV have admitted that they were behind the removal of Musiccity’s Morpheus from the fasttrack network. They have admitted to having terminated MusicCity’s license and to not providing version 1.5 to MusicCity . They say that this was done because Streamcast/Musiccityhas failed to pay amounts due to Kazaa BV under the parties’ license agreement . Although, Streamcast says that Kazaa BV changed registry settings, this seems unlikely because registry settings can only be changed by a download. More likely version 1.5 was programmed to prevent Super-peers from communicating with Morpheus software. Kazaa BV owns the license for Fasttrack and is separate to those that run the Kazaa software.
