what a joke! i would never pre pay for this EVER! I am sure the ps3 will be sic but why preorder when there is no hard evidence that the hardware even works.

They should of ditch blue ray project all together and just make it where it can be added on later when prices falll .. Just work on getting the game to the table.

im glad it will come with blue-ray. id rather pay 500 for a console and a blue-ray player. when a blue-ray player right now goes for $1000. M$ was stupid to leave out the HD-dvd player at launch.

I think what they demo’ed at E3 were ganes that would run on the hardware but were not running on the official final chip set. Game makers often do this. And holy mother of god! Over a grand! Thats a fucking joke! They better cut that price in half if they don’t want to fall flat on their faces. Parents are not going to buy their kids that! Only hard core gamers with no brains and very good jobs will even want such a thing. Take into account that games are going to cost over a $100 dollars and this just plain sucks to be Sony. What a fuck up!

Game console cost so much that your gonna be pirating the games for it cause you wont be able to afford the games otherwise.

Thats silly. People want a game console to play games not to try out a new wanna be over priced format that may or may not take off. The movies are gonna cost a shit load and the games are gonna cost a shit load. The extra space BR brings is also not needed for games. Maybe in ten years they will be needed but until then two double sided (cheap) DVD’s are more than any game will need. Only a game with tons of full motion video will need the whole space of one DVD. BR is a waste of money and most of America will not buy inot it for at leat another 5 years. By that time another x box will be out and Sony will be toast. nuff said
