The Pirate Bay Returns to Sweden

After the recent raid on their servers, Pirate Bay holed up in the Netherlands while things simmered back home. But, apparently there is no place like home for the operators of Pirate Bay, “sailing” back to their “native” land.

With “hey.mpaa.and.apb.bite.my.shiny.metal.ass.thepiratebay.org,” they serve up a not so subtle message in reverse DNS that they still wage on in the file-sharing battle between them and the powers that be.

As previously mentioned, the Pirate Bay will now be spread across a variety of locations, so the extant of their actual presence in Sweden is unclear.

In the end, they decided to return, it appears, because they simply missed Sweden too much. Now I’ve never been there, but I have seen the “Swedish Bikini Team.” They have to be the reason for their return because certainly charges have to be in the works from Swedish prosecutors poring over their servers for evidence of lawbreaking. Homesickness sure beats jail time. Although it is Sweden, how bad can their jails be?

Either way, the “boys are back in town,” once again putting Sweden on the file-sharing map
