Never saw it from a manufacturing standpoint but yeah only stand to reason that they would want to do so only because less Dl'd for free means more having to be made in order to be sold. Since they pretty much make evrything these days it means more jobs for the John Q. China guys and gals. It really is like they say "follow the money" and you're sure to find out the motive.
