Oh well poor nintendo. They seem to get the profits after the the big two have taken most of the pie. I hope they do well but the problem with them has been that they do not have as many game makers lined up to put games on their box as Sony or Microsoft. Thus less games are usually made for nintendo game systems.

I think Nintendo has it ok. I’m not a parent or a big gamer so if I had kids I’d buy the cheaper console (of the three) so they could play some games and I wouldn’t be out too much money. I don’t think that Nintendo is after the older gaming market anyways.

just wait on the 3rd party stuff. even if nintendo doesnt have as many as you would like the system is inherently more desireable for 3rd parties. games will be cheaper to produce and from what i understand its considerably easy to program for. i hear the cell processors are a pain in the ass on the ps3.

I personally dont care about price that much. If I’m going to buy a console do I care if I spent an extra $100? Not really thats about the equivalent of 2 games. If I’m going to break down and get a system that I’m going to be glued to for years to come an extra few bucks is definately worth it. I would get it from ebay or something after a year or so anyway so it would have come down in price anyway. And I am not surprised that it doesn’t have the video power of its rivals Nintendo has always been about making good games. Granted there are some exciting games for PS2 and Xbox but Nintendo always has so many awesome must have games.

This system has me excited because of the motion controller backwards compatibility with the GameCube and the ability to download and play the classics. $250 makes it even more exciting. But the PS3 is damn tempting…… (guess I need to start working two jobs to support my habit LOL)

I am uber pumped because a) I will be able to afford it b)the controller looks pretty groovy c) the games are always good (although I think Mario Party is out of gas although maybe that new controller can revitalize it.)

from what i read this article is bogus. nintendo said only that it wil “be less than $250.” they didnt say that it *will* be $250. personally i think they need to go with a $200 price point. the 360 is going to be dropping price near their launch date and with the 360 being technologically superior there is only a $50 difference between a $250 Wii and a $300 core 360. there might not even be a difference in price later.
