Trojan Removes P2P Downloads

There is a new trojan circulating that deletes files that it suspects have been downloaded via P2P networks. The trojan unknowingly infects a user’s computer and begins deleting files.

The trojan, called Erazer-A, targets the default download directories used by numerous P2P programs. The trojan works by searching for the default download directories that download programs use, and deleting any file that is a .mp3, a .avi, .mpeg, .wmv, .gif, .zip, or any other graphics and video file that it can find in the folder. The trojan acts to prevent infections of malware on machine’s that it is installed on.

I would create a virus that disables INTERNET explorer and installs firefox and makes it run by defualt as well as putting the google website as homepage. . And possibly deleteing any p2p network on their system and installing BIT TORRENT with a code that goes out to register on private networks.. As well as creating effective people in the internet realm.

Since when did malware come with an extention of: .mp3 .avi .mpeg or .wmv?

Wouldn’t malware be more like: .dll or .exe?
