All that has been done is a hack of the disk drive firmware. That means that with this hack the DVD drive will report back that the disk is valid even if it isn't. However there is still security that checks the files themselves as well. As such ONLY games etc that microsoft has 'signed' will run even with this hack. In other words Xbox Media Center for the 360 is a long ways away yet. This is an interresting advancement to say the least but one can only hope that better advancements are yet to come.
