Hi, I’ve sent an email to people from Java, Linux Kernel, Freenet and so on… about an idea I had. A Free Internet Operating System based in P2P. Imagine…
Imagine you come to an Indian computer, you open a little program and… voila… you find yourself in front of your default desktop, with your browser in your favorite web page, your divx film paused, your winamp with your favorite songs… And now imagine that all of this is free, and you don’t need an state-of-the-art computer for achieving it. Well only an internet
enabled computer with a medium internet connection. The peer-to-peer systems has brought us file-sharing programs, url-sharing programs and even a sort of web server. I think these things aren’t joined together and there’s not a preferable program to use instead of another. As it happened with the first Napster. However some of them use the same protocol. My own preferred P2P protocol/system for what I would call Freenet OS( or Free Internet Operating System (FIOS) or whatever) is Freenet.

Any suggestions? Comments? Is it possible?
