Alors que beaucoup d’internautes s’inquiètent quant aux données saisies par les autorités belges avec le serveur Razorback, nous avons eu l’assurance qu’aucune donnée nominative n’y était stockée.
Avec un million d’utilisateurs et des dizaines de millions de fichiers échangés, Razorback n’aurait pas pu techniquement tenir un log des connexions avec l’ensemble des adresses IP des utilisateurs. Toutes les données nécessaires au bon fonctionnement de Razorback étaient stockées en mémoire vive, et ont donc été perdues lors de la saisie. C’est ce que nous assure une source proche de Razorback.
Par ailleurs l’un des administrateurs du serveur eDonkey francophone a pu être contacté dans la journée. Un seuls des deux est semble-t-il gardé à vue.
Résultat direct de cette saisie, l’aide précieuse qu’apportait Razorback à la diffusion légale de fichiers sur Jamendo, sur Ratiatum, mais aussi l’aide apportée au projet de recherche du génome humaine Folding@home, sont aujourd’hui terminées.
En ce qui concerne les téléchargements de freewares et sharewares sur Ratiatum, nous serons extrêmement reconnaissants auprès de nos lecteurs qui accepteront d’assurer la relève en partageant leur bande passante avec nous. Il suffit de disposer d’un client eDonkey ou eMule et de vous rendre sur cette page pour télécharger et mettre en partage automatiquement toutes les mises à jours de la semaine en cours.
Nous espérons vivement le retour de Razorback, car il était de tous les serveurs celui qui prônait le plus l’utilisation du P2P à des fins légales, et nous aidait concrètement dans cette voie.

With a million users and tens of million exchanged files, Razorback could not technically have held a log of connections with the unit of IP addresses of the users. All the data necessary to the correct operation of Razorback were stored in read-write memory, and were thus lost during the seizure. It is what a source close to Razorback ensures us.
In addition one of the administrators of the French-speaking waiter eDonkey could be contacted in the course of the day. One only of both east seems it kept at sight.
Direct result of this seizure, the invaluable assistance that brought Razorback to the legal diffusion of files on Jamendo, on Ratiatum, but also the assistance brought to the human research project of the genome Folding@home, are finished today.
