BearShare has made some big fixes in Alpha 3, Bearshare is now an equal competitor in terms of swarming to LimeWire and gnucleus.

- Push routing table is on a per host basis
- Modified the push routing table to improve speed
- Modified push route forwarding and broadcasts so that they are sent along all possible paths, greatly improving performance
- Fixed problem with Downloads being stuck in Waiting on Win98
- Fixed Downloads “Explore” menu selection (but not “Open” yet)
- Removed useless “Connect To” menu selection from Downloads menu
- Implemented “Block” menu selection in Downloads pane
- Implemented auto-restart of downloads from “Need More Sources” state when new search results are received
- Alternate locations transmitted correctly, eliminates the “Request Entity too large” error.
- Corrected the parsing for “urn:” in queries which was the cause of a random crash.
- Improved peer counts, still not 100%.
- Fixed right mouse click during dragging of column headers
- tmp and dat are no longer shared.
- It is now detected when a shared files size is changed.
- Some hard coded strings in downloads where moved into resources for localization issues.
- Revamped host handling. ”
