Legal action for 757 file sharers

Legal action has been taken against 757 people in the US accused of using file-sharing networks to illegally share music online.

It brings the total number of online copyright infringement cases brought by the US music industry to 14,800.

The Recording Industry Association of America trade group said about 64 of those charged in the latest action were music fans who used college networks.

So far more than 14,000 people in 12 countries have faced legal action for allegedly swapping music tracks online.
