WinMX offline – RIAA wins? Ya Right!

It is the end of an era folks. The WinMX P2P network is no longer running. The Peer Cache servers as well as the company website are no more. As of late last night (approx. 4-6 hours ago) the servers went down and users were no longer able to connect to the network. This is big loss to the P2P community, but somehow I think everything will be fine.

Some of the newer networks may get to see how their particular protocol handles large numbers of users as MX users shop around for a new network.

Update: After some checking, it seems that WinMX is gone offline. Stay tuned to Zeropaid for further announcements. While you are here, check out our huge selection of P2P software, you just might find something to replace WinMX. - jorge
