We have heard the rumors on the iPod Satellite. It now looks like XM will beat them to the punch. Today XM and Samsung announced in a joint press release that they will ship the first MP3 satellite radio portable by end of the year. The yet to be priced unit won’t be able to receive direct casts, rather a docking station will pick up the signal and record it to the player for later listening.
