It was bound to happen sooner or later.
Sooner it is, as the first commercial UMD loader has been released, tested, and deemed functional. The game: Lumines (currently without sound). The catch is you’ll need a UMD (any game) in the drive, but the game data and loader are all stored on the memory stick.
This is just the latest in an ongoing struggle, which is sure to ignite Sony. But with hackers breaking down the walls of commercial UMDs, how is Sony going to force firmware upgrades?
