Bearshare 2.5.0 Alpha Released

From Bearshare.net:

The “alpha” signifies that it is still at an early stage of development and can be expected to CRASH. You have been warned.

2.5.0 offers swarming downloads from other Bearshare clients. Swarming means simultaneously downloading the file from various clients in order to speed the download process.

The search results with a long green bar will indicate possible swarming candidates.

Non-bearshare clients will currently not be swarmed, but they will still take advantage of our implementation of “multisource” download where a failed download will get automatically continued by using another source.

I suggest anyone that likes Bearshare and wants to help in the testing to go get it. Check it out
here.
