In what some of us have known for the last week, Suprnova forums has finally closed and merged with Snarf-it forums.
While initally there were assumptions that Snarf it was engineered by the same group behind Suprnova and Suprnova forums, time and time again this connection was repeatedly downplayed to allow for Snarf it to get its own rep seperate from Suprnova.

Suprnova was for it’s time the premier public indexing site for Bittorrent.
A P2P platform that has grown in the last few years to account for one of the biggest bandwidth eaters on the www.
Suprnova had closed last December as the buzz for a new p2p program called eXeem grew.
When finally released eXeem was for most a dissapointment (including the author of this article) a mix of BT and Kazaa it eliminated the need for trackers, making every user their own tracker. The rep of suprnova and inadvertantly the still thriving forums were tarninshed from the release of the eXeem software. At the time of release it was bundled with Spyware and after some digging was found to not be as completely decentralised as marketed. It was found that at start up the client communicated with a server somewhere for network access. This allows control over what clients could access the eXeem network.
Suprnovaforums after some unfair flac distanced themselves from eXeem and subsequently helped with the launch of Snarf-it.org.
Now that the switch over has been achived we can only hope that Snarf-it with the same dedicated team behind Suprnova forums and their experinces with Suprnova will boost Snarf-it into the top of the best public indexes.
Time will tell!
