Pat-rights: Apple infringing on U.S patent 6,665,797

“It seems that someone has is claiming to own the patent to Apple’s DRM technology.

The owner is Pat-rights, who as near as I can tell is an IP portfolio firm. They don’t actually make anything, they just buy up existing patents. Their claim is Apple is infringing on U.S patent 6,665,797 Protection of software again against unauthorized use which was granted back in 2003.”
