UK Computer Magazine Harnesses the Power of Torrents

Once again proving how ridiculous efforts of lawmakers to outlaw file sharing technology truly is, the online magazine Home Computer Magazine has decided to harness the powerful technology of Bit Torrent.

David Talyor, creator of the magazine says, “When we were looking at creating this magazine, we realized that the potential load on our server was enormous, so we wanted to ensure that is could be delivered..The anwser was clearly Bit Torrent, which offers companies the means to make sure their users can the files they want distributed faster. The best thing about it is that the more people that download it, the faster it gets for everyone, not slower. Most companies want to run away and hide when they hear ‘peer-to-peer’ but they seem to miss the enormous potential it can offer.”

How refreshing it is to see some organizations progressive enough to understand how to harness the potential of new technologies like Bit Torrent instead of trying to find away to sue it out of existence. P2PForums recently took a few minutes to scan threw the first few issues of this magazine and found it a great alternative to some of the pay commercial magazines out there. We encourage our readers to check out the first four editions via torrent.

P2PForums found that the download speeds on each of these downloads was plenty fast, and we encourage our readers to seed the file for a bit if they decide to check out the magazine, more then a fair trade in our view. Happy torrenting :-)
