Some thoughts about the new KaZaA

Why it’s a good thing KaZaA has been sold.

1. The Australian company doesn’t have to obey the Dutch court order. KaZaA won’t shut down.

2. The technology is licensed to Grokster and MusicCity. The new company can’t just unlicense it. At least for a while we’ll certainly be able to continue our free downloads there.

3. The pay service can’t be launced successfully until Morpheus is down.

4. For now, you can download KaZaA version 1.3.4. from the website and you can opt out from the spyware. It works, I checked it out.
