WinMX v3.0 Coming In Days, Says Frontcode

The developers at Frontcode Technologies, creator of the popular WinMX file sharing software have told Slyck.com that the release of WinMX v3.0 is coming in just “a few more days.”

Frontcode blames the delay on overcoming problems with Windows XP, which has proven to be the source of several frustrating annoyances. Windows XP enables certain firewall protections by default, which would create difficulties for WinMX fans that ran the new version.

However, company officials claim the difficulties have been overcome and the long-awaited beta is coming shortly.

The arrival of the new version of WinMX comes at a time when FastTrack technology networks continue to be under assault by legal authorities and ongoing lawsuits.

The complete story is here.
