After Gmailfs came Gmail Drive that utilized the 1Gig storage space. Gmail is not alone; Peer2Mail offers automatic downloading also from Walla (1Gig) and Yahoo (100Megs) so you can use these services as a simple and fast storage space. In addition to the storage space, Peer2Mail offer the ability to share the content of your storage with your friends in a safe and secure way. Unlike Gmailfs and Gmail Drive, Peer2Mail asks the users to log into the web mail accounts in order to download the files. This could be interpreted as an annoying task, but the author says on P2M forums that this is done on purpose so the users will view the Ads of the services they use. In short, you no longer need a Gmail invite in order to use a web mail service as a storage space; Just use Walla or Yahoo.
