Who is J. Cain? Where did you go to school? What are your inspirations? How did you get to where you are today?

Ga Tech. My mother got me to where I am today. She got me into computing at a early age and inspired my development from the language of BASIC.

What other projects have you worked on and where are they going.

Many, xfactor, kazaa, poisoned, some reverse engineering and many other things.

You were recently employed at Sherman Networks (AKA KaZaA), tell Zp about your involvement with the company.

I was former Chief Macintosh Programmer for Sharman Networks as well as a security anayst. I built the unreleased KMD Mac application and provided minor security mechanisms for binary protection for the windows platform.

Explain your personal experience in the raids, what went down? Were you there? What was the feeling at KaZaA camp shortly after the raids?

Well, I was in Atlanta but on the phone with Phil Morle (CTO) during the raid. After the raid, the ‘Mac’ project was subject to termination with the intent to renew it in 2005 while Sharman wanted to ’streamline’ the Windows development.

You recently relocated to NYC from Atlanta, Ga. Tell Zp why and what it means for the p2p space.

I came to NYC to work with a new conmpany called Pando Networks. I am working with a really bright team lead by Robert Levitan ex. co-founder of iVillage and floooz.com. What I am doing for p2p is about problem solving. There are many aspects of p2p that have yet to be solid, I think we can seal these gaps.

Do you think the complete p2p anonymity can be achieved?  Is there be a solution to the preying eyes of the RIAA?

Yes. Only the RIAA can solve the issues completely with them.

There are a few companies out there tracking p2p trends, will p2p anonymity kill this niche market?

I don’t think these company’s have any “real” means of tracking users at all on any p2p network.

What P2P program/network have you used to the most?

Xfactor of course…

Bush or Kerry?

Kerry!!!!!

Better coast, East or West?

East!!!!

Tell the Zeropaid.com community why you smashed your iBook on your NYC apartment wood floor as seen here: LINK

Well, In short, I stepped on it, the screen was cracked so I decided to just smash the machine. No worries it’s one of my many Mac’s.
