A new version of Bearshare (a Windows Gnutella client) has been released. BearShare 2.4.0 claims to have this new features:
- Multi-Source Downloading
- Multiple File Search
- Faster Connection to the Network
- Customizable window settings saved across launches
Actually ‘multi source downloading’ is only marketing, not what you expect. It means Bearshare does use another download location if the first drops… what other vendors ususally describe with the term ‘automatic resume’ or ’single source downloading’. So no fast swarmed downloading as we know from Xolox, Morpheus or eDonkey.
