Xbox: Real fun or Really Defective?

In an Associated Press article hosted on Yahoo they talked about Microsoft’s new Xbox video game console. Although the Xbox is running up against the Gamecube and Playstation 2 there is a place where the Xbox is becoming very popular, the complaint department. It seems that over the 2001 holiday season hundreds of people spent hundreds of dollars on a product that does not work. Customers have had many complaints about product support. Some said that it has taken weeks just to get a box to send the product back in, others are angry because they are taking their Christmas decorations down and their kids still have not played with their Christmas toys. The Xbox has been experiencing problems ever since delays at Microsoft’s production plant in Mexico pushed the Xbox’s public release date a week behind schedule. Microsoft itself does not handle complaints with its product; all Xbox complaints and repairs are handled by outside companies. All this leads one to wonder if the X-Box was a good gift for X-Mas? On this topic I will let you decide.
