The Gate Reports: According to Reuters, it looks like Jack Valenti’s days as the chief executive officer of the Motion Picture Association of America are numbered. That’s the word at least after the film advocate reportedly told media at the ShoWest convention that he expects to retire within the next few months. “This is the time for me to depart as CEO. I feel that in my gut,” Valenti was quoted in the article. Valenti, who is 83 years old, is also responsible for creating the film rating system which has been a part of the film industry since the 1960’s.
