Info : MUTE File Sharing is a new peer-to-peer network that provides easy search-and-download functionality while also protecting your privacy.
MUTE File Sharing compiles as a fast, native application for many platforms (no Java, no Python, etc.).

–Added dynamic download timeouts that automatically adjust themselves
  relative to the current transfer speed.
  These greatly reduce the download failure rate, especially between
  slow connections or through overloaded routes.

–Added a field to the settings panel to control the starting download
  timeout used by the dynamic timeout mechanism.

–Fixed a bug in the value of the Outbound Limit settings field.

–Reduced the default utility counter limit setting from 100 to 10.
  This will greatly reduce the impact of “wildcard” searches on the network
  while also reducing the usefulness of these kinds of searches.

–Added partial work-around for an exception-handling bug in older versions
  of gcc.  This fixes a crash on some platforms when remote node’s
  public key is “(null)”.

–Added support for logging the raw contents of each neighbor connection to aid
  in debugging.

–Removed code that was adding chaff (small random values to thwart analysis)
  to utility counters, since this technique is not compatible with the new,
  lower utility counter limit.

–Added check/correction for negative utility counter values to prevent
  malicious flooding with extremely negative utility counters.
