A recent “State of the Freenet” report by Freenet Project coordinator Ian Clarke, describes Freenet’s attempts to tackle the challenging problem of load balancing in a P2P network.

This is more of a problem for Freenet since, where many P2P networks must only deal with a relatively small number of requests, it is not unusual for Freenet users to make thousands of requests per hour when using tools such as Frost.

This challenge has forced the Freenet team to come up with a robust and innovative solution to the problem of load balancing. You can read the full article here.
