This is the first and absolutely exciting stable release since version 3.6.15 which was released last november.

Changelog:

  • Support for international searches. Users can now search for and share files for all languages – This works especially well if you have installed the latest Java Runtime Environment 1.5beta from Sun with support for all languages.
  • Numerous fixes for interoperability problems with BearShare and a more tolerant handling of Shareaza’s very own version of QRP.
  • better firewall / connection detection
  • extended use of UDP to reduce the load on ultrapeers
  • improved connection logic
  • a number of fixes for Apple’s interpretation of Java
  • “Blocked buggy servents from harming the network.”
  • Fixed a number of smaller bugs, improved performance and made LimeWire more robust
  • Added infrastructure for a number of features to be released in the future
