Bearshare 2.4.0 beta 1 Released

Yesterday BearShare released an early beta of Bearshare 2.4.0. Major new features are multi-sourced downloads and enhanced search capabilities (HUGE protocol). Support for superpeers aka ultrapeers is not in place (yet?). The latter is very important for the scalability of the network and its usability for modem users. Unless this is implemented in all major gnutella clients, the gnutella network will lag far behind Audiogalaxy or FastTrack in both content and user experience. Currently only LimeWire features supernode-support.
