I bet you have all waited for this to happen…
The Gnucleus team (err…
Swabby) Has released a new version. This version includes:
- Gnutella2
support ( Click here for more info)
- Partial filesharing
- Tigertree
hashing (along with MD4 and MD5 and the standard SHA1)
- connection
compression
- Non abusive use of Gwebcache V1 & V2 (Click here for more
info)
And a lot more!!!
I assume you all know that Gnucleus is
opensource. This is the first release where the core and the gui code are split.
The core is now licensable thru L-GPL. Which means, you can use the networking
code from Gnucleus (to be called GnucDNA) in your commercial application.
As
you may have read on this forum, Morpheus uses GnucDNA. This means, Gnucleus
users benefit a lot, as it boosts the Gnutella Community enormously.
