RIAA Goes for 15 year old in Seattle

Using KaZaA and the FastTrack network, Seattle’s 15 year old Megan Dickenson was sued by the RIAA, after sharing approximately 1100 music files. The RIAA offered a settlement for $3500. Her defence: “I didn’t know it was stealing, the website didn’t warn me.” The RIAA says that ignorance of the law is no excuse.
