Xolox Stops New Downloads

Amid the emotions and disbelief that have accompanied the news that
Xolox was to be discontinued for the apparent reason of wanting to avoid lawsuits, it was widely believed that although development
had stopped, the application was set to continue running in the wild for people
to use. This, however, does not seem to appear so and for their own reasons, the Xolox
development team have purposely expired their product, making new downloads
impossible. People running Xolox today are greeted with a “This version has
expired” dialog box and will only be able to search and carry on their current
downloads. Attempts to download are met with a greyed-out download button.
As Xolox was a popular client, and one wonders how long it will take for a “time-unexpire” crack to start doing the rounds.
