PeerBuddy brings a relatively new concept to Peer-To-Peer (P2P) file sharing networks. It was birthed mainly as a test to see how successful it would be to track segments of files based on hash IDs. The result of this experiment turned out to be very successful, thus “PeerBuddy” was born.
This new concept to file sharing requires a new type of network that doesn’t yet exist. As people continue to use the program, the files that can be searched will grow. It gives you the ability to download movies, music, pictures, programs, documents, etc.
Changes in Current Version:
* Optimized network transmission logic for faster communication!
* Fixed bug with pause/continue download items.
* Fix program locking issue (redesigned the message handling routines).
* Added network stats.
* Segment downloads optimized.
* Added ability to count existing nodes!
* Application priority goes low when inactive.
* Complete redesign of shared file indexing routines (more efficient).
* Status bar (to help keep you informed of events).
* A lot of internal changes, gearing towards a major release.
* Added ability for PB to auto-upgrade itself.
* Fixed bug that crashes PB due to commas used in regional settings instead of periods. [This is also the reason for connections showing "(v?)"]
