HotP2P 1.01 Free Consumer Release

Thanks for all your comments on Zeropaid.com, both good and bad about our initial release of HotP2P!



We listened to what you said and just updated and released HotP2P as a free consumer version. HotP2P 1.01 is now available at this link:

New/Fixed features:



- Changed to free consumer version.

- Added preview form in the Files section that allows you to view selected pictures (jpg/bmp), music (mp3/wav) and video (avi/mpg) simply by double-clicking the file name. It also allows you to copy the downloaded file from the HotP2P temp folder to your download or other selected folder.

- Updated instructions explaining in detail how to invite by email your friends to use HotP2P and link-up with them.

Someone had said in a message about HotP2P that you needed to be logged in to our website to use it. That’s completely false. HotP2P does have web links to our website for an ad web page, community forum web page, help web page, and a button to a web page to help determine your Internet IP address, but none of these or anything else in HotP2P is dependent on our website or any 3rd party server to run and link you with your contacts.



Description:



Although it’s main features are P2P email, file sharing/searching, and chat, what makes HotP2P unique is it’s ability to enable users to communicate with each other without requiring third party servers to login to (i.e. AOL, MSN, etc.), paying for static IP addresses or paying for dynamic DNS services. Also not needed are private/public keys or proxy servers.



This is done through constant ping confirmation established after an initial link up between two HotP2P users. Ping confirmation is only required for those HotP2P users with dynamic IP addresses.



HotP2P allows users to set up file-sharing public/group/private folders for other users they link up with. You can have a public folder for all your HotP2P contacts (public), group folders just for certain users (private, i.e. family, schoolmates, clubs, business, etc), and a folder for each HotP2P user (personal).



Other features include a mini-web server for your HotP2P contacts, private/group chat, and file searching of all your HotP2P contacts PCs.
