The reponse to a Billboard.com article is from the RIAA on their attempts to get a provision tacked on to the USA Act that wouldnt make them liable if they hacked PC users in order to delete files off their hard drive. Now the RIAA is denying the entire thing saying, “RIAA never lobbied Congress to give us the ability to hack into PCs, plant viruses, destroy MP3 files on people’s computers, or anything resembling such actions. These assertions are not only completely false, but also incredibly offensive and extremely irresponsible.”
