In some recent news most readers will find refreshing the controversial new software anti-piracy method, know as product activation suffered a major setback on Wednesday. Microsoft made P.C. users familiar with product activation with the launch of Windows XP. This was to bring an end to the piracy of the Windows operating system. However things didnt quite work out like that. Windows XP was available on the net, without activation, before it official release date.
Now to the current matter. California software company Intuit, maker of the wildly successful tax software Turbo Tax has decided to drop product activation from future versions of the software. The last two versions of the popular tax software have included a form of product activation made by the Macrovision company. Intuit, a company who had long enjoyed good relations with customers, will now attempt to reclaim these former positive customer relations
