I’ve been using XP since June, and had seen some of the music features, but didn’t notice them all until recently. Here are the ones I’ve noticed:
Bad: Simple (yet shitty) mp3 or wma –> audio cd in WMP8 (i suggest you use nero.. it does a lot of great stuff like crossfading, and more)
Good: Very Easy ID3 tag editing in the properties of the file (right-click… properties)
Bad: A “Shop for Music” Button that brings you to this shitty site.
Bad: Tight Shell Integration with WMP8, like when you right click a music file it has “Add To Playlist”, “Play”, and “Copy to Audio CD”, which all point to WMP, even if it is not your default music player.
Cool: The last special thing I have noticed is that if you have 1 or more music files in a folder, there is an eigth note placed in the corner (representing music).
