Madonna.com hosts mp3s of new album

Apparently in response to Madonna’s recent tantrum against bootleged copies of her May 22nd 10th studio effort American Life, copies of the album appeared on her website Madonna.com.

After trying to defeat bootleg attempts by flooding file-sharing networks with fake mp3s that contained nothing but “What the fuck do you think you’re doing!” courtesy the Queen of Pop, those known as “phrack magazine” defaced Madonna’s website, stating the message “This is what the fuck I think I’m doing…”

Along with the usual retail issue, the website now “hosts” radio edits of the album as well as remixes. According to the site, the downloads are “brought to you by the editors of phrack magazine, http://www.phrack-dont-give-a-shit-about-dmca.org/”.

The only other message is a proposal:

“Morgan Webb will you marry me?”
