Sony and Vivendi Universal’s subscription music service, Pressplay, has added more independent labels to their lineup this Monday. The deals include labels such as “DreamWorks, Palm, Ubiquity, Rykodisc/Ryko Label Group and Sub Pop”, greatly increasing availability of song titles (Frank Zappa’s catalogue alone numbers over 1000 songs on Rykodisc).
Pressplay will launch version 2.5 on the 14th of February, adding the ability to create customized radio stations. The new release will also allow users to access Billboard’s historical chart data.
