“LeecHammer is a FREE Windows program designed to work in tandem with WinMX and help eliminate leeches from your upload queue.”

“Do you want to share files, but are sick of rude users clogging your queue or refusing to share? LeecHammer can help HAMMER those leeches into oblivion once and for all!”

“But LeecHammer does more than just hammer leeches – it helps manage your upload queue, bandwidth and sharing rules – making your queue more accessible to friendly users and rewarding those who are generous.”

“LeecHammer works with WinMX versions 3.3 and greater. It runs on Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP. ”

Features Include:

  • Works with Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP.
  • Works with WinMX versions 3.3 and later.
  • Multi-language support. Supports ALL WinMX language files.
  • Completely free! No trojans, spyware, adware, popups, etc. etc.
  • Highly customizable. Most every setting can be turned on or off, allowing you to be as generous or “tight” as you want. If there’s a feature you don’t want to use, then turn it off – or customize its settings to your requirements.
  • Ability to specify dual minimum share requirements. Users not sharing a specified number of files can be canceled or ignored completely (”hammered”).
  • Ability to specify max upload limits. Users can be limited to a maximum number of entries in your queue. Attempts to upload more than that will be canceled.
  • Ability to hammer users who have jobs canceled repeatedly for not sharing, but still refuse to share.
  • Chronic Queue Hogs can be hammered for repeatedly submitting too many uploads over and over again.
  • Massive Queue Hogs can be hammered for submitting large numbers of uploads all at once.
  • Detects “suspicious” activity such as making 0 upload slots available (known as the “0 files available” hack) or having no running uploads despite sharing a large number of files and being online for a reasonable amount of time.
  • Ability to automatically open additional slots based on your current bandwidth. LeecHammer can completely manage your queue!
  • If you don’t want to impose file sharing limits, you don’t have to. You can simply allow LeecHammer to monitor your queue and manage the opening of new slots based on bandwidth.
  • Ability to cancel uploads for those who refuse to supply Whois information after a specific amount of time.
  • Ability to Browse, Whois, Hammer or Cancel users directly from LeecHammer’s interface without having WinMX even visible.
  • Plays individual sounds when a new file is added to your queue, when an upload is canceled and when a user is hammered (can be turned off).
You can also create your own custom sound themes.

  • Runs in Automatic or Manual mode. Automatic mode checks your queue at an interval you specify.
Manual mode allows you to immediately check your queue for leeches with the click of a button.

  • You can flag users as “Generous” if they are sharing a specific number of files. Generous users can receive extra upload privileges. This is a reward for those who share more.
  • Gives you a nice graphical display in real time of the breakdown of how many files are being shared by other users, their reported connection speeds and how many slots they have made available.
  • Automatically detects when a new user enters your queue and can play a sound to notify you. This can make it easier to manually keep tabs on your queue without having to sit glued to your computer. In fact, the program can be used as just a queue monitor to simply notify you whenever a new file is added to your upload queue.
  • Keeps a running log of which users were ignored or uploads canceled, reason why, etc.
  • Maintains a color coded display of users who are currently in your queue, # of files they are sharing, their connection speed, sharing status and how many entries they have in your queue. It’s possible to monitor your queue without even having WinMX visible.
  • Works even if WinMX is not visible, is minimized, or in the tray. LeecHammer automatically opens the Transfer window if required. It does not need to be visible and can be floating or docked. (In fact, it works best if WinMX is NOT visible.)
  • WinMX can be started or made visible directly from LeecHammer with one click.
  • Autostart options allow LeecHammer to automatically start WinMX if it is not running and begin checking your queue immediately upon startup. This can potentially allow for a completely unattended file sharing system by simply placing a shortcut to LeecHammer in your startup folder.
  • Designed to be as unobtrusive as possible and keep interruptions to a minimum. Under normal circumstances, LeecHammer does not interrupt your work flow, mouse movements or keystrokes.
  • Requires very little system resources or processing power.
