Verizon’s request for delay opposed by RIAA

Last week, Verizon was ordered to disclose the identity of a user that supposedly had downloaded 600 files in one day. Verizon requested a stay on the order, which was opposed yesterday by the RIAA.

The judge got the facts wrong, however. The 600 files were not downloaded in one day, they were merely the number of files shared by the KaZaA user. According to TheStreet.com, this is the dumbest thing on Wall Street this week.
