In this article on Salon.com, record company president and NARAS board member John Snyder blasts the RIAA for their position against p2p file sharing. He suggests that NARAS should take the lead on the matter and “Embrace file sharing, or die.” This is definitely a positive change from Michael Greene’s tirade against p2p on last year’s Grammys. It’s a long article, but it raises many good points and is an interesting read for anyone interested in the p2p debate.
Note: NARAS is the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences; a group that represents both artists and labels. They are the presenting organizations of the annual Grammy Awards.
