It obvious that the next big file sharing program will have to have a few standard options. (1) Decentralized servers (2) Security (so the RIAA & MPAA can’t sue the indivuals that run the network. AKA the users)(3) Mutli – Host downloads (4) Simultaneous uploading and downloading, etc.
But here are a few more things im looking for in a file sharing program. (1) Annomity (2) The ability to simultaneously run on Gnutella, OpenNap, IRC (or chat servers like mIRC or Taxee), IM (like Aimster) and out of other users computers (like eDonkey & the Qube) (3) The ability to search most of the servers at once (Don’t want it to bog down servers like the old WinMx that did not run on WPNP servers) (4) Make leechers share URLs of their files or upload their files to a MyPlay locker and share the files from the locker instead of their hard drive. (Thier files will always be online even if they aren’t (5) Zero spyware or ads (6) Minimal CPU usage. (7) Built in Winamp mp3 player and .mpg, .mpeg, .asf, avi, .mov, etc player for movies. (8) A built in cd ripper.
Thats about all I can think of, so if you have any more ideas or suggestion please post them.
