Project Fasttrack Status page is up, which will be updated weekly and view information on progress on Project Fasttrack.
Taken from the actual Fasttrack Status page (http://www.projectfasttrack.com/projectfasttrack/projectstatus.asp):
This page reflects our project status and is updated weekly.
1. Major problems with the Alpha interface in the My Media CFormView Mdi Child window. We are getting Assertions while trying to populate the media list properly, this is due to a bug in our CSplitterWnd derived class. Should be resolved soon.
2. Network functionality is working 100%, we are now sending a PL if we receive X-Kazaa-Network: KaZaA. So no more Q issues from our side and cross compatibility is maintained.
3. We have purchased a new pack of icons, this is going in ASAP. (the application look and feel will remain similar to KaZaA and Grokster, but different enough to stand out.)
4. We are moving away from Visual C++ 6.0 to 7.0, why? Because, it’s just time to change, plus there are performance enhancements and other benefits, especially dealing with controls such as windows media 9.
5. We are now intercepting browser links such as sigtodat and sending them straight into the download Q.
6. No need to upgrade to Windows Media 9, we have run tests and the API is backwards compatible to version 7.0.
7. We now support every version of windows, however please note that when we release beta if you are running less than an NT kernel (ie* win95) then you will have some functionality disabled such as forcing your client to be a supernode. Also note that hacking the registry will not get around this, we enforce this internally no matter what values you add to the registry.
8. We are now piping application logs on all errors that occur. Something we should have done from day one.
