In an article entitled The Digital Evolution: Freenet and the Future of Copyright on the Internet, the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology takes a very close look at Freenet, and whether it is vulnerable to legal attack. The author of the article displays an impressive understanding of Freenet’s operation given the complexity of the Freenet architecture.

This article should be interesting to anyone concerned about legal attempts to shut down P2P networks. On the whole, it provides a ray of optimism to those disappointed by other recent events.
